Begins running a 60-second radio ad in Navajo language.
The FBI announced that they are running a 60-second radio ad in the Southwest United States, highlighting the crisis of unsolved murder and missing persons cases among the Navajo people. The radio ad is entirely in the Navajo language and features the mother of Lee Michael Pahe, who describes her experience of finding out her son was fatally shot last summer.
“You don’t have to understand Navajo to feel the emotion of the mother who speaks about the loss of her son in this ad,” Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda of the Albuquerque FBI Division stated. “Violent crime affects everyone the same way, and everyone deserves justice.” The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information about Pahe’s killer.
